Technique is the foundation for all the training at West Ham United. One of the technical methods employed is the Technical Soccer Coaching Master Programme. It's comprehensive and covers all aspects of technical training, to develop confidence and creative players.
Tony Carr MBE
West Ham United FC Academy Director, 1973-2016
I was known as a maverick technical player for West Ham in the 90s, I fully appreciate the need for a dedicated technical training programme that allows young players to express themselves. As having coached alongside Ian many time in USA, I have seen the benefits of this training and how the programme influences players to be the best they can be first-hand.
ex-West Ham United and Manchester City professional player
Football has changed a lot since I was a player in the 1970’s alongside the likes of Bobby Moore, Harry Redknapp and Frank Lampard. The one thing that hasn't changed is the importance of sound technique. 40 years later the young footballers in the West Ham United Academy are practising their skills using the 1st class Technical Soccer Coaching programme.

Technique should be mastered from an early age and practiced everyday. I would encourage all players to develop their technical skills using the TSC programme.

The technical drills and ball manipulation sessions delivered using the Technical Soccer Coaching syllabus is vital for all 6 -16 year old players.

My two youngest son’s train and practise ball manipulation work using both feet. I would recommend Technical Soccer Coaching for any young player who wants to master the ball and be comfortable in possession.
